What was your day’s job or primary business when you started a mess on your side?
I started my business while I was in high school and continued to run it from college. In the early days of business, I was a full -time student.

When did you start your side and where did you inspire for it?
When I was 16 years old, I started my business at the end of the year. Ever since I was 11, I was a DJ-ING and had to find a place to play publicly with my friends to play and party. I did some research and found some companies in the “teenage night” in other cities, but there was nothing in the Boston field. I decided that I would start my own and the rest of the history.

What were the steps you had taken to get down from the field on your side? How much money/investment was made to launch?
For my business, the first step is to find a place. Surprisingly, many Nightbubs were not ready to rent a 16 -year -old boy’s club. After approaching almost every night of the Boston area and reached the event site, I was finally able to lock a date in the Middle East in Cambridge, Cambridge of Massachusetts – Monday night.

After reading the book and discussing the class, I was able to take a step back from where I was with my own business and started creating my own system and processing that would have to be appointed to my first full-time employee and scale our first $ 1 million. If you can go back to your business journey and change a process or outlook, what would it be and how do you want to do it differently?
I wish I had learned to rent before. There is always a great team from me to the beginning of the early days, but most of my career I was the only person working in a full -time project. I was very responsible for myself and finally, this limited the growth of the business. My business and my life have changed after learning to work and represent people.

When this particular business is considered, what are you something that is especially challenging and/or surprising that people who get into this kind of work should be created, but not probably not?
Stress. Live event industry is a very challenging industry; That can be a lot to many people with the original stress of entrepreneurship. Managing the stress of running a business based on variables with no control is the biggest challenge in my career. Having worked on it for many years, learning stress management skills is one thing that has benefited me not only in my professional life but also in my personal life.

Can you remember a specific example when something goes wrong? How did you fix it?
There are many examples that things are wrongly wrong, but for me and everyone else in the business of live events, the biggest (partner’s disease) was a shutdown of the disease all over the country (or continent). Before the shutdown, I was throwing in college night in Boston, still working under the Middle East. I had just locked in a weekly residency on Thursday night and put everything on the line to work. Then, the world closed.

Personally with events on the table, I did not slow down — I just moved the gears. I threw myself to learn what I was possible about social media, audience growth and brand-building. From what I learned about social media, I decided to launch the Slacker University Network, which is a series of targeted Instagram pages that combine school-specific materials with slacker content. Once the world opened, that network enables me to target the built -in audience for an event.

So when the events returned, I hit the running ground. That social network became the engine behind my first national tour – and we sold it.

How long did it take you to see consistent monthly revenue? How much did Side Retall have earned?
It took me years to see revenue consistently. Live events industry can be very unstable and can be at risk of a lot of financial risk, so there was a lot of years of pre-saving disease, where I did a good job and for a few years where I did not. (Disease of the partner) all over the country (or continents) things were really beneficial for me, and in the fall of 2021, I earned more than $ 100,000 in just two and a half months.

How does the growth and revenue look like now?
We’re on the way to earnings of about $ 2.5 million in more than 150 events this year. Our lifetime sales are now more than million million dollars and we have brought more than 250,000 attendees to our events.

How much time do you spend time working on your business on a daily basis, weekly or monthly basis? How do you design at that time? What does a normal day or week look for you?
As a start-up, as a single entrepreneur, I always “working” your business. Since I was responsible for everything, I have never separated the work from a non-work. It was always on my mind, either front or back.

In the past year, I was able to bring my first full-time employee and now I have brought this year to the second full-time employee. Creating a team around me has completely changed my life and I am now taking an average 40-hour working week. Of course, a few weeks are more essential, but I am very lucky to have an amazing team who has allowed me to regain some of my time and has long been sustained.

What is the most pleasure of running this business?
Happiness to others gives me personal happiness and happiness. This business has allowed me to do this so much and I am very happy to know that I am making the lives of hundreds of thousands of people a little better. I don’t enjoy anything than being on the site in a successful event and making people laugh and spending a good time.

What is the best of your specific, actionable business advice?
Start the Two-Do List. Keeping things in writing simply makes it easier to remember what to do, but it really compels you to think about what specific actions you are thinking.
